    Support Engineer

    Full Time – UK Head Office

    Job description

    applied acoustics is a manufacturer of high value marine related electronic-acoustic products that include subsea and surface positioning and tracking systems, and a market leading range of seismic survey equipment. Established for more than 35 years the company has an international client base across many industry sectors that is supported by a global distributor network.

    Due to business growth we have a vacancy for a support engineer to join our team.

    The successful candidate will be working within the service and support team on the support, service and maintenance of all product lines. Developing knowledge to support both internal and external clients with applications and development. Some limited offshore time may be necessary for trials, client training, demonstrations and product evaluations.

    Desired skills, knowledge and experience:

    • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant electronics engineering subject
    • Good communication skills
    • Observant, inquisitive and have an ability to solve problems
    • Previous experience in Marine Geophysics and Hydrographic Survey a distinct advantage
    • Good attention to detail
    • Ability to travel unhindered domestically and internationally
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Participate in an out of hours support rota
    • IT literate, familiar with MS Office applications
    • High standard of written and spoken English

    The work will be based at our premises in Great Yarmouth.
