AAE’s range of acoustic positioning beacons is one of the most extensive available from any manufacturer and includes very small models, the Micro Beacons, for use in shallow water or where space is limited, up to the ‘Fat Boy’ Beacons operating in deep, noisy or difficult environments.
The range offers a host of benefits for a multitude of marine positioning applications, with models specifically designed for challenging tasks during subsea operations. Each unit combines durability with ease of use.
Additionally most AAE beacons can operate as a
Transponder, an acoustic beacon which transmits on receipt of an acoustic interrogation pulse,
Responder, an electrically triggered acoustic beacon or a
Pinger, which regularly transmits acoustic signals until the power supply is exhausted.
AAE’s Beacons are widely accepted for quality and reliability throughout the world, in many industry sectors and in diverse applications.
- Robust, rugged construction
- Easy selection of transmit and receive frequencies (channels) to accommodate the tracking system chosen
- High reputation for signal stability
