The 1000i Series Mini Beacon combines acoustic positioning with INS technology adding the flexibility of the standard 1000 series with the features of a 6 DoF (Degrees of Freedom) MEMs motion sensor. The 1000i has been developed to provide acoustic positioning, magnetic heading and motion plus an INS integrated solution from a single compact cost effective chassis.
The full Inertial Navigation System accepts aiding from Easytrak Nexus and other USBL systems plus DVL, GPS, and depth sensors to calculate a solution. The magnetic heading performance is automatically compensated in the presence of ferrous materials by the motion sensor to maintain the accuracy <1

Connections are made using an industry standard 8-pin connector. 1000i Series Mini Beacons are quick and easy to configure using the 1082 Smart Switch. The beacon features an onboard fast charger for a typical 3 hour charge time. Charging is activated and monitored via the 1082 Smart Switch.
